This kit adapts B230 to the Tremec TKX transmission. The T5 transmissions have been the go to upgrade for b230s for decades. They work great but with the increased performance we are getting out of these cars. The issues we run into is that as we are running these engines at higher rpm, the standard T5 syncros fall short. They were just never designed to be behind anything that revs. The TKX is a much stronger transmission that also has syncros that deal with the high rpm shifts.
This adapter is the same construction as the usual tried and true Deeworks T5 adapter however, this version is made to fit the transmission pattern on the TKX as well as the re designed bearing retainer. Like the T5 kit this uses a M46/M47 bell housing and any volvo throwout bearing setup.
