Specification

These are CNC machined from ¼ inch phenolic. The idea is to isolate the intake manifold form the head and keep it form heat soaking. This kit uses phenolic which does not transfer heat very well. By being in 4 separate pieces instead of one large piece, you get some air space between the manifold and head. They are ¼ to minimize excessive runner length and to minimally affect fit of ic piping or intake pipes. The kit includes 8 long studs and 4 phenolic spacers. These fit 8v b21/b23/b230s only.

Too cool for school

I know a bunch of people who run these, all have the same response: They work! I'd have to mist my intake down with meth/water between each autocross run just to cool the sucker down. Now with the isolators the intake remains at ambient temp run after run, without the mist (I still mist my stock intercooler). Product works as intended. Heat soak is a bitch, get these to eliminate it.Magnum TE (2 May 2012, 22:10)

Before I put these in, if you tried to touch the manifold when the car was hot, it would almost burn you. Now you can hold you hand on it. Highly recommend these spacers.Alden (4 May 2010, 17:57)
